Driver/Mover Job Description
Accountabilities
The mover/driver is responsible for:
• Checking that all paperwork (e.g., Co-pilot checklist) is completed.
• Assisting the team lead in completing truck checks.
• Ensuring that all items required for a move are in the moving truck and are secure at the start of the day, after each move, and at the end of the day.
• When required, safely driving the move truck and crew to job sites.
• Prepare items for transport using blankets, shrink wrap, cardboard and ratchet straps.
• Loading and unloading, stacking, wrapping, and other tasks as required.
• Following LSMS Safety and company policies. This includes safely lifting and moving items in a manner that keeps yourself and other employees safe and property and goods free of damage.
• The overall customer experience during the move job including:
– listening to customer instructions and reporting any unusual requests to the Team Lead
– at all times behaving professionally on the job site; reporting for work in a company uniform.
• Properly stacking, padding, strapping, and securing items for transport to prevent damage.
• Contacting the next customer and the office throughout the day.
• Complete end of day tasks:
– Clean the truck, collect moving tools and supplies and organize them back in truck.
Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (air brakes not required but considered an asset).
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs and have ability to go up and down stairs while carrying some weight.
Move Coordinator Job Description
Accountabilities
The move coordinator is responsible for:
• Promptly answering phone calls, texts and other messages on our marketing and communication platforms within 1 hour of customer contact.
• Recording accurate information in our client management system (CRM) including customer information and logging all contact and follow-up information with customers.
• Providing customers with accurate estimates in response to inquiries and if needed, consulting with the Move Lead or business owner.
• Booking moves scheduling moves in a way that maximizes staff time.
• Entering booking and estimate information into the CRM and QuickBooks.
• Regularly following up with customers who have inquired but not booked and logging follow up in the customer’s file in the CRM;
• Ensuring other team members are answering customer inquiries if periodically unavailable;
• Communicating with the move team and office with status updates and issues;
• Meeting with the owner/manager to review customer activity.
Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Must have moderate to advanced computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft products including Outlook and Word.
